                    “TECHNICAL PROJECTS FOR FASTER RESULTS”


REQUEST OF COMPUTER FOR PDPR DEVELOPMENT CENTER.

PDPR-Development is a new and small development center established on June 2013 by Pretty Development for Poverty Reduction (PDPR) Organization in Itunduma Village, Mtwango ward, Njombe rural district for providing training, education, skills as life skills, entrepreneurships, mindset, counseling, consultancy, Computer literacy and ICT, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, fabric industries, environmental conservation, leadership skills and management, micro enterprises, finance skills, animal and bird keeping as chickens, fish and to promote sustainable agriculture, organic, green house, drip irrigation also train the possessing and adding value of farm and off farm products.

PDPRR request a donation of 10 used laptop computes, 16 desktop, and two projectors for using in training at development center also for Mobile Computer and ICT training to secondary schools students and governmental servant, Leaders of NGOs, CBOs and farmers groups in Njombe district. This project utilize local and international volunteers to provide training also now we plan to help Local organization to create Websites, Blogs and face book pages to enable share information with donors and partners.

PDPR will install computers on PDPR development center that have security, metal doors, electricity and we have two permanents expertise of computers and ICT. This computer will be owed by board of directors on behalf of beneficiaries also Project manager will prepare reports every year and to submit to PDPR board of directors and doors, This project also will help to reduce the stationary cost of organizations,

More than 40 students will get long training of 7 months, and more than 300 short training of one month each year. This project also will help the students of other courses to access information on line and to add various skills. The project targets to use also ICT and computer skills to solve the unemployment problem of rural youth in Tanzania.

PDPR request you to donate any kind and number of computers up to Dar es salaam Airport or Dar es Salaam port. PDPR will cover all clearing and transport cost to Njombe. PDPR request also volunteers of helping to fundraise money for shipping cost if you companies have no service of providing shipping expenses to nearest port.

 

 PDPR COMMUNITY RADIO

PDPR FM is a new and small community radio located in Njombe rural district, Tanzania. This radio cover audience of 5 KM only our aim is to purchase modern and high quality equipment that cover 50 KM, This radio established by Pretty Development for Poverty Reduction (PDPR) organization that arae NGO not for profit for the aim of simplifying the task of empowering rural community of Tanzania, those are farmers living under extreme poverty due to lack of education, skills and knowledge that may used to utilize the natural resources available in there areas. PDPR radio runs programs of Agriculture, Environmental, HIV/AIDS, Water ad sanitation, Renewable energy, Human rights, Entrepreneurship, Education Health, Good governance. Through this radio community will be informed various issue such as local events, market information and will help to bring closer leaders nd citizens and to increase Transparent and accountability also will promote democracy and freedom of speech and will help to create awareness to community on malnutrition, epidemic diseases, STIs, climate change and reproductive health.
In our district we have only one Private Radio station based on profit did not run programs that are interest of community.
PDPR radio dream to extend area of coverage and to start to run different programs that empower the rural community especially marginalized group, women, children and youth also we will offer free air time to volunteers and NGO and CBO.
NB: All funds will used to purchase equipments and all our machines work on volunteerism bases.

 Mission of radio PDPR
To stimulate rural development by facilitating access to and dissemination of information, learning resources and communication technologies in Njombe and Mbinga districts; and to become the leading community radio station contributing to the economic, social, culture and environmental development of the Mbinga Communities and the nation at large. Through provision of forums, debates, employment information and market information and to follow government projects and to report as means of increasing accountability and transparent.

PDPR Foot Ball CUP

This is foot ball competition project involves 5 team from sub village of Itunduma launched with PDPR staff on 2013 for the aim of using as mobilizing tools to youth and to go build the capacity on Social matters, Entrepreneurship development and to create awareness on HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, Civic education and to promote good governance and environmental conservation. This league will expand to ward level and district according to availability of fund.

 BIOGAS SYSTEM BUILDING TRAINING.

PDPR establish this project of training local communities in Tanzania to create biogas system in order to solve the problem of envionmental degaradation, and to ensure house hold have clean anergy of low cost nd now we plan to look donors to donate solary systems for other house hold have no animals.

This project help the families to serve more than 70% of lighting, cooking and charging their mobile phones but this project go slow due to lack of funds and support we request you to join your hands.  This project target to serve rural communities and institutions such as schools, collages and health center.  

RESEACH ON FOOD IN SECURITY AT RURAL AREAS OF TANZANIA.

This research focus to see the causes of food security in rural areas of Tanzania especially Southern Zone and how malnutrition affect the health of children and mothers also how associated with poverty and poor performance of children at schools.

 

RESEACH OF CHILDREN RIGHT ABUSE IN RURAL AREA OF NJOMBE.

This project target to determine if children right is protected and known by rural communities of Njombe, also to determine the act of violation those take place and to determine the best way of providing awareness and education on Human rights and civic matters to children and to empower Teachers and governmental servant to act as engine of protecting human right.

 

STUDENT LIFE SKILLS TRAINING.

The aim of this project is to provide extra skills and knowledge that relate with their daily life and to enable them to self reliant and dependence in life, this project will provide entrepreneurship skills, HIV/AIDS, mind set, reproductive health issue, life skills and others. This project target to ensure youth have full skills abouth their daily life, employmets, and have skills and ability of utilizing oportunities in their areas to generate Income instead of waiting employment  

 

 

RIGHT TO EDUCATION AND LAND.

This project promotes rural girls to attend schools from primary to secondary also to advocate right of women to own Land and other means of production for purpose of empowering Tanzania women to start to engage in Economic activities and social mattes, Under this project we promote the establishment of sufficient social infrastructure such as Water, energy, dispensaries and health center to enable to serve time and good services I their communities.

 

VULNERABLE’S POULTRY AND FISH FARMS.

This project target to help orphans, Elders, widows, disability people to establish projects of chicken keeping and Aquaculture in rural areas to enable to start to engage in Economic activities also to create self employment of them and to reduce poverty and to increase per house hold Income. Also we plan to start to provide tuition fees to orphans in this project.

FINANCIAL INSTITUTION AND MICRO ENTERPRISESS ESTABLISHMENT.

Under this project we promotes and mobilize the establishment of financial institutions as SACCOSS, VICOBA, VSLA and the small trade and agribusiness projects in Southern part and Costal Zone of Tanzania also we plan to start to provide small Loans to youth and women after to help the establishment of his groups.

 

WATER FOR RURAL COMMUNITIES, TANZANIA PROJECT.

Pretty Development for Poverty Reduction (PDPR) - is planning to implement a project of water for all in rural communities of Tanzania in partnership with UVINJO GROUP for insuring the accessibility of clean, safe and adequate water rural families in 9 Villages of Njombe district for digging two wells in each village, This project target to serve more than 150 house hold in each village for insuring the availability of safe water for drinking, cooking, washing hands and kitchen equipment at first time and later to increase the number of beneficiaries and supply, This project will help to reduce the epidemic diseases, serve time of women and children walking more than 5 Km to follow water in down ward side, reduce families conflict, increase economic growth for enable women to participate in work effective also under this project we will train and promote sanitation and good use of toilets and encourage communities to build permanent toilet.

The wells will have a hole of at least 70 feet downward and width of 1meta, This wells will have capacity of producing more than 2600 litters per day, we will install Loko water pumps also called (tape pump) in wells to reduce the difficulties of uplifting water from the hole, is hand pump, These pumps have high quality and guarantee of 8 years made by Local technicians called UVINJO GROUP is the abbreviation of Swahili word (Uchimbaji Visima Njombe) this is a youth group have experience of 11 years in digging wells and making different kind of water pumps and a ready worked with international organizations such as IDYDC, iWASH, ACCRA, Wind rock and SHIPO. Until now them a ready dogged more than 300 wells in Tanzania, Malawi and Mozambique and only 9 wells performs bad, This project is priority of rural communities of Njombe, developed after PDPR staff visiting the village and made the meeting with communities and local government leaders, each well will cost US$ 920 and whole project need US$ 16560, Communities will contribute 30% of the project costs in each well as manpower, building matters as bricks, stone and sand. The project will own by communities but controlled by PDPR, government leaders and project committees. The community will contribute US$ 3 per year for small repairs and the sustainability of project to enable to extend in other villages.

The life span of this project is two years after the availability of fund, but PDPR will follow up the sustainability of project each month, and the project manager will write reports after each 1 year and submit to PDPR board of directors and send to donors to show the impact of project.

We plan to dig wells close with public services centers as dispensaries, schools, Orphans home, elder’s center and close with residence after to get the technical advice from expertise based on the availability of many water.

WHY WATER PROJECT? According to “Water aid” report, more than 75% of population in Tanzania have unsafe, adequate water and poor sanittion, nearly half of the population drinks dirty water from unsafe sources (22.3 Million), 42 Million don’t have ace to adequate sanitation in Tanzania, over 10,000 every year children die from diarrhea due to unsafe water and poor sanitation only 64,000 have safe water with improved sanitation.
