Summary: The mission of the organization is to promote Human Rights, democracy, mitigate conflict and build peaceful societies for social and economic development in the United Republic of Tanzania. It works closely with communities to build upon their awareness on Human Rights, sensitizes the government for positive responding towards human rights violations and organizes third-party peaceful negotiations between conflicting groups. The organization is currently looking for a Communications & Fundraising Officer to raise funds and ensure institutional sustainability.

Duties/Assignments:

The Communications & Fundraising Officer will:

  • Creating, planning, implementation, management and oversight of all aspects related to fundraising for the organization.
  • Identifying donor opportunities, develop donor database, respond to donor tenders and call for proposals, develop grant proposals, write appeals, represent the organization at donor meetings and undertake follow-up of potential funding opportunities.
  • Explore and develop strategies for short and long-term sustainability of the organization and its interventions
  • Develop business plans in consultation with other staff for possible generation of long-term incomes for the organization.
  • Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and raise funds for the activities of the organization.
  • Improve and develop communications material for the organization such as brochure, website, annual report, DVD, poster etc.
  • Liaison with private agencies, the government and other organizations to explore potential collaborations for raising funds for the organization.
  • Suggest other innovative ideas for effective resource mobilization.

The organization is currently seeking FOR volunteer for  Finance Officer to manage its financial operations.

Duties/Assignments:

The Finance Officer will:

  • Oversee the financial operations of the organization and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices including cash management, payroll, financial disbursements, ledgers etc.
  • Responsible for entering financial information and maintaining all financial records for projects and for the organization.
  • Preparing and maintaining donor agreements and staff contracts.
  • Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to the organization on budget expenditures.
  • Obtain approvals from the Director and from the donors on all procurements and purchases for the projects and for the organization.
  • Monitor the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the close of the fiscal year.
  • Provide orientation and training to the organization staff on cost-effective management.
  • Ensure that all financial reporting is completed on time and submitted to donors.
  • Oversee the financial audits of all projects of the organization.
  • Provide financial inputs for proposal development, project management, Human Resource Management policies, logistics, travel and other areas of administration.

The organization is currently looking for the office clerk for maintenance of the office.

Duties/Assignments:

The office clerk will:

  • Maintain general cleanliness of the office
  • Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities.
  • Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers
  • Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports.
  • Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer.
  • Open, sort and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
  • Deliver messages and run errands
  • Inventory and order materials, supplies, and services.
  • Complete work schedules, manage calendars and arrange appointments.
  • Type, format, proofread and edit correspondence and other documents, from notes or dictating machines, using computers or typewriters.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, attend meetings, and record and transcribe minutes.
  • Troubleshoot problems involving office equipment, such as computer hardware and software.
  • Make travel arrangements for office personnel.

 

PROJECT MANAGER

TPIF s works closely with communities to build upon their awareness on Human Rights, sensitizes the government for positive responding towards Human Rights violations and organizes third-party peaceful negotiations between conflicting groups, The organization is currently seeking to appoint a project manager to coordinate all projects.

Duties/Assignments:

The Project Manager will:

  • Oversee all project activities and be the main contact point for the donor and the field staff.
  • Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the donor organization.
  • Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.
  • Responsible for submitting activity reports, meeting minutes and financial reports on regular basis to the organization and donor.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of annual activity-based project budgets as well as monthly and quarterly financial reports and sending of new funding requests.
  • Lead and motivate the project team and monitor project activities and project expenditure and coordinate work with consultants and volunteers in the project
  • Ensures close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners to guarantee smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results as specified in grant agreements.
  • Employs resourcefulness in project design, implementation and monitoring. Trouble shoots project problems. Identifies and implements creative solutions.
