VISION, MISSION AND OBJECTIVES OF CAFLO:
Vision
- We envisage for the vibrant society of which people are living peacefully, healthily and well observing human rights with full participation in various socio-economic development programs.
Mission
- CAFLO exists to improve and promote peace, health and socio-economic development in the family by empowering family members to fight against problems/crisis facing them (like HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria and other fatal diseases, domestic violence, poverty, child abuse, drug abuse, umemployment, commercial sex works/unsafe sex, alcoholism, etc).
Objectives
- To foster and strengthen counseling service in the family and the community at large.
- To participate fully in the struggle and campaign against the spread of HIV/AIDS, STDs, TB, Malaria, drug abuse, unsafe sex/promiscuous sex, etc
- To provide accurate psycho-social support to the children especially orphans and vulnerable (OVC).
- To mainstream gender issues in the process of enhancing various socio-economic development programs in the community.
- To advocate for issues, policies, laws and concerns affecting widows, youths, orphans and vulnerable children, people living with HIV/AIDS, disabled people, etc.
- To foster development in the family by empowering family members to carry out income generating activities (IGAs).
- To mobilize resources necessary for attainment of the organization's mission and vision.
- To cooperate effectively with government institutions and faith based organizations on fighting against problems facing various community members.
- To collaborate or network with individuals or organizations from inside and outside the country (Tanzania) especially those with similar vision, mission and objectives of those of CAFLO.
TARGET GROUP:
CAFLO's services are available to all family members especially Children, Youths and Women who are in difficult situation.
Counseling and Family Life Organization (CAFLO) is non-profit, non-political, voluntary and non governmental organization (NGO) established in June 2006 and registered in February 2007 under the Non Government Organizations Act 2002, of United Republic of Tanzania. The registration number is OONGO/1900.
