Poverty Alleviation for Tanzania Natives -(PATNA) created a Volunteer page.

PATNA VOLUNTEERS & APPLICATION FORM 2020

PATNA is currently seeking for volunteers from all over the World for training Women, Youths and Disabled on EPIGA (Entrepreneurship Promotion for Income Generation Activities) in 2020.

This campaign is set to build capacity of over 1,000 youths, women and disabled living around Kibaha in Tanzania to be able to self-employ and eradicate income poverty in 2020.

The EPIGA training will be held at Kibaha Folk Development College (KFDC). On-going students of the KFDC and other targeted beneficiaries will be trained on various vocational training skills at this college from early January 2020. The invited 12 volunteers under this call must be able to facilitate training prgrammes (In English/Kiswahili languages) in the following 6 Categories:

1. Tailoring (2 volunteers)

2. Plumbing (2 volunteers)

3. Livestock Husbandry (2 volunteers)

4. Motor Vehicle Mechanics (2 volunteers)

5. Information and Communication Technology (ICT – 2 Volunteers)

6. Integrated Early Childhood Development (IECD 2 volunteers).

 

Thus, PATNA is seeking to recruit four types of volunteers for its January 2020 Campaign:-

(i) Volunteers to support an online fundraising at the online fundraising platforms like Global Giving Foundation, GoFundMe and others.

-The fundraising is aimed at raising funds for training 1,000 prospective beneficiaries (women, youths and Disabled) and it costs approximately 400 USD per each trainee per year.

All Volunteers with good are invited to participate in this campaign.

(ii) Training the on-going students of Kibaha Folk Development College (KFDC) and selected women, out of school youths, drop-outs and disabled on various vocational training skills. Qualified Volunteers in category 1-4 above will be invited to Tanzania.

(iii) Supporting a Project on Integrated Early Childhood Development (IECD) for Kibaha District in 2020. Qualified Volunteers in category 6 above will be invited to Tanzania.

(iv) Supporting beneficiaries and PATNA to develop Global Network forum for poverty alleviation through ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in Tanzania. Qualified Volunteers in category 5 above will be invited to Tanzania.

NB: Accommodation to all 12 volunteers will be offered at the Hostels belonging to Kibaha Folk Development College (KFDC) throughout the entire period.
