MANLUKU is looking for talented, motivated and passionate individuals from around the world who bring knowledge, innovative thinking and different ideas that enhance our capacity to serve people of concern to the organization.

These will be based on the following capacities:

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

Who are we?

MANLUKU is a non-for profit youth lead and Non-Governmental Organization aiming at providing opportunities that empowers young people to create positive change through Education, Agriculture and Health in Tanzania. Our main goal is enhancing and promoting good living standards to youth in Tanzania.

Our Mission is to bring together initiatives to build capacity, enhance & sensitize youth on sustainable development, and ensure that the voice of a young person is heard across decision-making platforms.

Our Volunteering Opportunities

MANLUKU capitalizes on the role of human capital in attaining its goals, same as every nation does in order to attain real development. At MANLUKU, every effort contributed by every person is heartfully appreciated.

We are now inviting applications for volunteer roles from qualified young graduates to work for MANLUKU. Preferred qualifications are in the field of Education, IT, agriculture (agronomy, agribusiness, and agricultural economics), Social sciences, Water, Public and/Community Health.

How many Volunteers are needed and how will they be selected?

Five (5) volunteers will finally be selected from the above academic backgrounds. Applications will be assessed against pre-set criteria, and shortlisted applicants will be invited for a formal selection meeting. The finally selected candidates will be offered the chances.

What will Volunteers do?

The volunteers will work as a team in:-

1)     Supporting in project development and designing by bringing in innovative ideas (sector-specific aspects)

2)     Support in the implementation of projects (both office and Field visits), as per one’s sector/Department.

3)     Supporting in formation and promotion of youth and women rural rooted farming and business enterprises, as well as propos   innovative approaches in promoting rural rooted agricultural technologies.

4)     Enhance and facilitate youth lead livelihoods groups (both existing and formulation of new) to involve youth into entrepreneurship activities.

5)     Provide technical on straitening and improving existing education systems, by visiting schools committees, students/pupils, teachers and other education stakeholders.

6)     Liaising with sector-specific stakeholders on current and burning issues and working on the action points for the benefits of beneficiaries.

7)     Develop software, create and maintain organization databases, update web resources and maintaining network and computing systems.

8)     Develop plans for. And implement Public Health promotions for both in-school and out of schools youth and their families.

9)     Any other activity as assigned or instructed by supervisor.

Office Offer:

This is a volunteer role. The office will only offer:-

  1. Office space with basic furniture to work on.
  2. Activity-specific materials and stationeries.
  3. Communication support for liaison with other stakeholders.
  4. Tea/breakfast
  5. Platform for learning (including Employment network support and coaching for interviewing)

Our preference:

Preference will be given to applicants who are residents of Kasulu town, Kigoma region – Tanzania, or those who can accommodate and sustain themselves in Kasulu town. Qualified women are encouraged to apply.

Other Competencies/Attributes:

  • Computer literacy is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proven networking, team-building, organizational and communication skills
  • Understanding of the country’s Youth and Economic policies and move is a credit.
  • Innovative, flexible, disciplined, goal-oriented and willing to learn.
  • Gender and cultural sensitivity is a must.
