LISAWE is currently implementing the following projects:
PROJECT: EDUCATION SUPPORT to Most Vulnerable Children (MVC), Lindi District
Description
Since 2008, LISAWE has been implementing this project which is funded by Social Action Trust Fund (SATF).
The goal of this project has been to ensure the children of Lindi who are considered most vulnerable receive education support from primary school to secondary schools.
Project key Activities include:
- Identifying the most vulnerable children in the project area
- Support to MVC especially by supplying of school materials to those attending primary and Secondary schools.
- Purchase the scholastic materials and pay school fees for Secondary and Vocational students
- Regular follow-up of the supported children
Project Achievements
- Currently a total of 813 children have been supported, these include 84 students from primary schools, 699 from secondary schools and 30 from vocational training institutions.
