Background information.

Tanganyika Centre for Development and Advocacy is a Non Governmental Organization registered with accordance to the NGO’s Act number 24 of 2002 with its registration number 00NGO/00005595. The organization is registered as mult-sector under national as a society based organization, non partisan organization, non political and non profit making. The area of operation under which the organization is established and registered for is Tanzania Main land.

VISION OF ORGANIZATION:

The vision of organization is to enhance effective implementation of National Development Vision of 2025 so as to foster social, political and cultural development towards society.

 MISSION OF ORGANIZATION:

To be an organization with effective capacity and sustainable knowledge to offer technical consultancy to the government with its stakeholders in regard to policies, laws and governmental regulations for providing better services to the society.

 OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANIZATION:

Objectives for which an organization is established for are such as following;-

1. Providing education to the society, education shall be based on;

i. civic education                                

ii: Entrepreneurship skills.

iii: HIV/ AIDS and drugs

iv: conducting training and workshops.

2: Conducting research projects based on:-

i: Poverty alleviation.

ii: Gender discrimination.

.iii: Democracy, rule of law and good governance.

iv: Spread of communicable diseases.

V: Social and tribal conflicts.

3: Environmental conservation and management of natural resources, this objective will be achieved through:-

i: Using different techniques to implement the national policy of environmental conservation.

ii: Educating the society on the proper utilization of natural resources.

iii: Emphasizing on proper drainage and sanitation systems to rescue the society communicable diseases with other related problems.

iv: Promoting the planting trees campaigns.

4: Promoting economic development the indigenous societies through:-

i: Educating the society on the proper utilization of available resources for sustainable development.

ii: Providing entrepreneur skills in small organized groups and providing financial assistance.

iii: Building capacities of the marginalized groups towards self employment.

iv: Creating a link between development stake holders with local entrepreneurs.

V: Searching and providing developmental opportunities to the local peoples.

VI: Raise awareness of key stakeholders at district, regional and national level on the current rural communities development needs and situation of disadvantaged rural and urban women, men and youths.

5: Promoting social-cultural development.

i: Dealing with gender equality and equity issues.

ii: Searching and documenting the lost history of Tanzania for the benefit of the future generation.

iii: Providing education on social relations, early marriages and early pregnancies.

iv: Promotion and protection of the traditions and values of Tanzania.

V: To promote patriotism among the Tanzanians from the grassroots to the nation level.

Vi: Promotion of internal tourism.

7: Legal and human rights advocacy;-

i: Promoting rule of law and providing legal support to the society.

   ii: providing legal consultants to the local peoples.

iii: Enabling the society to know the law of the state.

iv: To promote human rights.

V: To transmit public awareness on public policies.

8: Promoting agriculture development.

i: Providing modern agricultural education to the farmers.

ii. Create a link between the farmers and the government as well as other stakeholders.

iii: To find better market for agricultural products.

iv: Conducting farmers workshops.
