How Counselling fits in Children and Youth
Surely “There is Health without Mental Health” Counselling help Children and Youth to develop Mental Health. Mental health (like our physical health) is a reserve for living. It allows children and youth to learn, work, play and find meaning of life. It helps them during hard times and develops positive state of mind.

How does it work?
Counselling is simply known as “Talking Therapy”. It attempts to restore hidden talents, potentials, alternatives, solutions and abilities from the “unconscious mind” and bring them to the surface (conscious mind).The amazing fact is that our conscious (aware mind) constitutes only 3% of the entire mind while 97% of it is unconscious mind (unaware mind). Most of youth and children problems lie at unconscious mind. Root causes of all Mal-adjusted behaviour of children and youth are poor mentality and lack of social life/social skills.The purpose of counseling is established based on this and clients are then, guided to use the conscious mind to recover what is in the unconscious mind and learn life and social skills.
Why Counselling?
It has been proved that chidren and youth are too embarrassed or ashamed to openly share with parents, teachers or other people around what is bothering them, or they just do not have an appropriate person to turn to.
At these moments Counselling is a really useful option and can be a rational alternative for those who wish to grow to the next level of positive thinking, faith, well-being or improve some areas or aspects of life.
