In order to retain the lost nature of Uluguru Mountain which is a part of Eastern Arc Mountain there is a need to reduce poverty looming among communities residing along the Mountain. Implementing a project which will reduce Poverty as well as Conserving   Environment was inevitable . 

This project involves 

• capacity building to the communities on the importance of conserving environment 
• establishnment of tree nurseries which would provide seedlings for fruits and wood for timber.
• provision of Dairy cows that provides milk, dung for Biogas and manure

The issue is,upon provission of dairy cow that would provide dung;biogas will be generated and hence there will be no cause of women encroaching the forest in the pretex of geting firewood as energy.On the other hand people's threshold will be raised and hence poverty among families will be reduced. In totality,this tantamount to Environment Conservation.
