HISTORY OF NEWG ORGANIZATION-TANZANIA
Neema Working Group (NEWG) is a Non Profit Organization officially registered in 2008 under Non Governmental Organization Act 2002 section 12(2) of act no. 24, aiming at suporting vulnerable groups in the community with its Headquarters in Muheza District Tanga region. Neema is a Swahili word meaning "Grace". NEWG was found by Faustine Mwanga in early 2008 as an effort to improve agriculture sector in Muheza district in Tanga region. The efforts of NEWG began in Muheza Tanga with potential strategies of advancing agricultural activities, especially organic farming since 2008 before extending our efforts to Kilimanjaro region where we currently identified potential projects to improve socio economic status within the community. NEWG works to meet community needs through main core sectors including Agriculture, Health, Environment, Education, Gender Issues and Human Rights.

MISSION
To strengthen the Community capacity and member-based democratic organizations to enable men, women and children in poverty, improve their living condition, defend their rights and contribute to a just society.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
- Mobilize people to participate in agricultural sector and environmental conservation
- Organizing the farms from grassroot level to increase the amount of outputs to both cash and food crops
- Effectively utilize the availabble fertile land for development of agricultural sector as well as building financial capacity of NEWG in helping the society
- To take care and suport vulnerable children and orphans on education and medical expenses
- Cooperate with other NGO having the same objectives as NEWG, The Government of Tanzania in Collaboration with United Nations
- To educate the community on the importance of project development, participation and Gender equality
- Provision of social services to the need groups especially during natural disasters example, food, shelter and clothes
- To cooperate with internal and external mass media Institutions in expanding communication capacity in promoting education for community development
- To sensitize, emancipate, educate the public on HIV/AIDS malaria and Tuberculosis
- To cooperate with the Government of Tanzania, National and International Organizations and the United Nations on the issue of Human Rights
NEWG INCOME SOURCES
NEWG operates its initiated projects through finance generated as indicated in the NEWG'S Constitution including;
Members entrance fees, all members must pay membership fees before being accepted as a full member of NEWG.
Monthly contributions, members contribute an amount set monthly as agreed in the general meeting depending on the prevailing time
Volunteers contributions, any amount contributed by volunteers on a free will shall be used to run NEWG's projects for sustainable development
Grants/Contributions from Internal or External Donors/Sponsors, NEWG shall develop proposals to seek fund from Internal or External Donors/Sponsors to facilitate its initiated projects
Fundraising, this will be organized and conducted by NEWG staffs in collaboration with partner organizations/Individuals within or abroad
Income generating projects, this category includes small projects that will generate income and facilitate in other projects. Example Poultry, Bee keeping and Arts and Craft works
Government's Suport, the government may realise the need to suport our efforts by any means including financial resources, human resources or material resources. All these will be used to facilitate NEWG projects
