ZANZIBAR PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS ASSOCIATION-ZAPCA
INTODUCTION:
Zanzibar Professional Counselors Association is a nongovernmental Organization established with the main focus of assisting civil societies, the poor communities and youth to fight poverty through counseling services, psychotherapy and other psychosocial supports in the society of Zanzibar and even outside. It was officially registered by the Registrar of the societies appointed under section 9 of the Society Act No 6 of 1995 on 18th November 2013 and given registration number 2119.
VISION:
To conduct income generating activities that sustains and provides outreach to Zanzibar society.
MISSION:
To provide a safe, supporter to community in General
OBJECTIVES
ZAPCA as a Non Governmental Association has the following Objectives:-
- To unite all professional counselors in order to understand their basic rights and respect.
- To ensure all ethical counseling principles are respected and followed accordingly.
- To provide counseling services in HIV/AIDS, drugs, lose and post traumatic events.
- To provide psychosocial support to children in marginalized areas.
- Capacity building in counseling theories and practice.
- Collaborate with Institution, Association and governmental agencies and nongovernmental Organization within and outside agree with goals and objectives of this association
