TUWODEA is a non profit making organization with 25 women members spread over five villages of kemondo and Katerero wards, which was found 2007 and registered under NGO action with no. OSNGO/00002911 dated 18/2/2009 and upgraded with no. 00004730 dated 5/7/2011to operate country wide. With aim of assisting the marginalized especially women and children within the community to fight against three enemies: namely poverty, disease and ignorance. The organization works on eliminating gender based inequalities and alleged effect hence seek to assist children and youth groups who are vulnerable to various social, economic and political challenges;It is governed by the organization constitution, general assembly, board of directors, leaders councils and Executive committee. The physical address is Kemondo bay area, Kanazi village, Kemondo ward, Katerero division, Bukoba district and Kagera region, Tanzania. Day to day management of the organization is under the project coordinator supported by two technical staffs namely the accountant and administrative secretary.
The source of funding is member's fee and subscriptions, local and foreign donors and voluntary contributions from stakeholders. The funds are under custody of commercial bank and the organization keeps books of accounts and carries annual audit.

Women resolved to establish the organization to protect and advocate women and children rights and creating community awareness to respect and value human rights.
