PARTICIPATORY DEVELOPMENT CONCERN (PADECO) updated its History page.

The organization started as a grassroot group of youth and their kins men in 2009 and in 2011 it was registered as a Non-Governmental under Organization Act 24 of 2002, to operate in Tanzania Mainland.

We started working through our membership and contribution fees in serving the needy but due to inadequate financial resources, we started to lobbying various donors. We started with our pre-existing supporter Prof. Ludwig Gernhardt who started to support our movement especially in Orphans and Most Vulnerable Students in schools and collages since 2012 todate.

We had our first phase participation with our government through its Tanzania Forest Fund agency in protecting the environment and planting trees in bare degraded lands the program which started by 2013. We hope that we shall continue working with them in phase 2 late this year and so.

Meanwhile, since last year, we had been in contact with Manos Unidas for donating in larger programs like water supply schemes by whom we have just complited our first cooperation by construction of water supply project in 2 villages this year, and we hope for much more programs in the near future.

It's our strong hope that we shall continue providing solutions to everlasting problems of the people in rural and marginalized areas of Tanzania, and in this beginning for Ludewa district, Njombe region and the nation at large.
