Former prime minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Frederick Sumaye listed issues that could compromise our peace in the country if they are left unattended. He also insisted that political fights should carefully be fought to avoid conflicts. He kept on saying that peace is an important resource in any country and once lost, it is difficult to restore  especially when the basis for that peace in that particular country are not respected by all citizens. The premier stated these when he participated in the gospel concert for the fund raising event held at the Samora grounds in Iringa municipal council where he contributed one million shillings. The funds were meant for the construction of information and communication technology (ICT) centre for the orphans in Iringa region by Children Care Development Organization (CCDO) orphan centre.

He mentioned issues that can lead into the compromise of our peace as different social discrimination, religion and faith segregation, political misunderstanding, unfair share of the national resources and extreme corruption and embezzlement of public funds. He advised government to firmly fight against corruption and embezzlement of public funds, as for a corrupt government, those with just will have not just and the vice versa is true because of the corruption if the corruption and embezzlement are left to deepen their roots.

Explaining more about those issues he mentioned earlier above, he said faith or religious discrimination is very dangerous for our country and it must be fought and condemned by all means because if it deepens its roots, the peace that we have will evaporate like an ice on the sun. Concerning political fights, Sumaye said political parties should fight while ensuring peace and stability since political fights require peace, calmness and tolerance amongst parties so that they cause no problems to the nation and instead of differing in their ideas and manifestos they end up fighting.

“…I am telling you, political movements should follow democratic rules, in politics there should be transparency and justice, those who fail in elections should admit their failure. …concerning those haves and haven’t  if national resources are accumulated to few and majority remain poor, peace wont prevail regardless of the means used to acquire those properties. i.e. legally or illegally. If this situation is in our country, it must be dealt with and the government has her ways of dealing with it. This must be fought in all areas such as service providing areas, political arena and judiciary systems”. He further said corruption and public funds embezzlement are threats to our peace if those thieves and corrupt will be given justice and the poor are experiencing no justice.

However, Sumaye argued Tanzanians to have a habit of helping those in need like orphans instead of investing in corruption and frauds which is dangerous to our peace. He went on congratulating the Centre’s Chairperson and Founder- Majaliwa Mbogella for his wise idea of helping orphans, he asked his fellow countrymen and outside to assist CCDO in fulfilling its mission of building the ICT centre which needed Tshs 120million equivalent to $75000.

Furthermore, he acknowledged the Coalition of Children Books Authors led by their Chairperson Professor Michael Provitera based on their books donation to the CCDO, he also thanked the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) for increasing women’s awareness on good governance in Tanzania through its partnership with the CCDO, while also he appreciated the contribution made by Miss Kimi Anderson - Founder of the TravelGiver Organization, and the President of World Computer Exchange Organization for their donation to the Tanzanian orphans under CCDO partnership.

Earlier on, Mbogella hinted out that the centre expects to have two branches one in Makete district and the other one in Iringa aiming at having 120 children who will benefit from this project. He also said the centre is already registered with registration number 000NGO/00003818/2009 and it has acquired land of 25acres, of which 5acres are at Mkimbizi in Iringa town and 20 acres at Nduli village in Iringa District. He asked all Tanzanians and other well wishers that have been touched by the life led by orphans to visit CCDO website http://www.envaya.org/ccdo or contact CCDO management through +255653813368 / 0754813368/ +255713311009/+255765568096. Majaliwa said the center will act as parents of the orphans and apart from providing services to Makete and Iringa orphans it expects to extend its services to the neighbor regions like Mbeya, Ruvuma, Morogoro and Dodoma where branches will be opened as well.
