HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL
The date of establishment is 1937 by sisters called (soeurs missionnaire d’Afrique Centrale).It was at the beginning educating the girls. The boys were being educated in the school today known as G.S O BUTARE next to it in 200 meters headed by brothers. From 1937 to 2008 the school was a primary school on CENTRE SCOLAIRE BUTARE CATHOLIQUE as name.
In 2009 the government of Rwanda put in place a new policy of education for all to be implemented, this school was among the schools to start the program and also the nursery level began at the same time. The said program is known as Nine years basic education (9YBE).From that time it becomes a school with three levels:
NURSERY LEVEL
PRIMARY LEVEL
SECONADARY LEVEL
In 2012 the government of Rwanda started the program of 12 years basic education in order to help our children to acquire the skills that may help them to develop themselves in particular and the country in general; this also helps the country to achieve the millennium goals. From 2012 the school has accounted four levels: NURSERY LEVEL, PRIMARY LEVEL, ORDINARY AND ADVANCED LEVEL
The advanced level has three combinations (MEG, HEG AND EFK).
